Challenge
While enrolled in the IDOL Courses Academy, I was challenged to create a graphical job aid for a common task such as doing laundry, making a sandwich, or planning a small party.
Solution
I decided to make a job aid on how to brew tea because I’ve always loved tea. I also thought it would be handy to know how to brew tea if I were in the office, especially if your brewing loose leaf tea.
Bagged teas usually have the brew times on the box, while, loose leaf may or may not come with brewing information.
Results
So I created the tea brewing chart above to make figuring out how to brew tea easier. I even made it small enough so it could be hung up somewhere in like a kitchen, kitchenette, cubical, or anywhere tea can be prepared.
I organized this job aid by tea types, then listed how hot the water needs to be to steep the tea. Once tea has been steeped, I included a list of the best ingredients you can add into your tea for an optimal taste experience, with the most popular ingredient listed first.
